Supporting Local Art
When local artist Adam Smith of Blue Creations Art reached out to us for a quote to clean and prepare the Port Orchard waterfront wall for his newest mural, we quickly realized this was more than just another job.
Public art has a way of bringing people together. It creates landmarks, tells stories, and becomes part of the memories families make in their hometowns. After learning more about Adam's vision for the project, we decided to donate our work and prepare the wall free of charge as a community giveaway supporting local artists.
Passing It Forward
The values behind our Honor Elders Giveaway don't end there. They shape how we try to move through our community every day.
When Adam asked us to help prepare this wall, we saw an opportunity to be part of something. Our oldest son, Keegan, worked alongside his dad cleaning the wall, and now all of our children get to see that their family helped create a piece of Port Orchard that others can enjoy for years to come.
The lessons my grandparents passed down to me of respect, gratitude, and leaving something good behind, are the same lessons we hope our children carry with them.
